"Your (Google) Review got me the biggest promotion of my life."

Today's message: The little things will often mean the most to you and to those around you.

This morning I went to my local tire shop (Dunn Tire) to get snow tires mounted for the imminent winter season.

Just a regular Friday morning here in sunny Buffalo NY.

Until the morning took an inspiring and impactful turn.

As I stood in a long line waiting to be seen by one of the employees for my appointment, I recognized a familiar face in the tire shop garage in the backdrop.

It was a friend I made years back who used to work for Dunn Tire and has since returned to take on a leadership position.

Aaron, who I haven't seen in a few years, came out to the office to say hello and shared something with me that gave me goosebumps.

Because I had such a great experience a few years back with Aaron at the helm of providing service to my car, I felt compelled to pen a google review to share my incredibly positive experience.

So, in our exchange, Aaron shares with me this morning that that simple google review - which took me no longer than 10 minutes to write - ended up, in his words, getting him the biggest promotion of his life here at Dunn Tire.

The lesson here, sometimes (often times, in my experience), the simple things that you do, like being grateful for a positive customer experience, and penning a review, can mean so much to the human being on the receiving end of the positive review.

Next time you think, "eh, will this 'little' thing really make a difference?" Please remember this blog article post.

I cannot count on my hands/feet how many times the little gestures & acts that I committed out of genuine gratitude have led to some of my life's greatest and most inspiring triumphs.
